Lip Blush

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness.

Unlike traditional permanent cosmetic tattoos, lip blushing is an evolved service that’s meant to provide natural looking, long-lasting results.

How long will it last?

How long will it last?

Lip blushing can last between two to three years depending on the client's body, skin type and lifestyle.

Smoking and sun exposure can speed up the fading process, and if you’re oil-prone, have an iron deficiency or use a lot of exfoliating products in your skin regimen, your lips may fade faster.

Process

PRE PROCEDURE

Before your procedure we send you an email to prepare you for your session with us. Please review all of the information in the email to ensure you’re prepared for your appointment. Pre procedural preparation is key to a smooth and comfortable session. We request that you do make sure of the following:

  • No caffeine the morning / day of procedure

  • No alcohol 48 hours prior to procedure

  • No blood thinners such as ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aspirin

  • TYLENOL is accepted but ONLY Tylenol

  • Must NOT be pregnant or breastfeeding

  • NO Lip fillers 3 weeks prior to the procedure.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • If you are prone to or suffer from cold sores, you need to take an antiviral cold sore medication or a supplement of Lysine or Valtrex. Take this at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment and continue to take it until you are done healing. Without taking this precaution, the procedure will cause a flare up.

DURING PROCEDURE

During your procedure we discuss your concerns with your lips. We go over your ideal lip desires and certain things you’d like to add or change. We then map out your lips using measuring techniques used for symmetry and overall lip shape. We can only work within your natural lip borders and are unable to “overline” the lips. Once we agree on the shape you are comfortable with, we work together on picking the perfect shade of pigment for your lips. We show you a few options depending on your goals and work to match what would best suit you based on your skin tone, undertone, and lifestyle!

You are numbed for 20 minutes with a Topical anesthetic on your lips. Once numbing cream has kicked in, we then go in with our first pass with a machine. We then add a liquid anesthetic to ensure comfort throughout the entire procedure.

POST PROCEDURE

Aftercare is a key factor in making sure your pigment stays vibrant and long lasting. You are required to make sure you don’t submerge the brows for the first 7-10 days while healing. Healing process is a noticeable 1 week process, and 4 full weeks of color healing.

We provide you with your aftercare that you will need to reapply for the week following your procedure. All of the necessary post-procedure care is given to each client after they leave our facility for their reference.
